The combination of two ingredients: psyllium husk and inulin creates a healthy mixture (binulin) that positively influences health, well-being, and appearance. Do you suffer from constipation or bloating? Do you often feel that your stomach is full and heavy? Do you have trouble with bowel movements? This topic is often overlooked—it’s understandable that talking about… poop is uncomfortable. However, for me, happy intestines are number 1!
So today for you – a healthy load of information and a recipe below. 😉
Psyllium husk seeds contain several substances with health benefits:
- Fiber supports the digestion process. Thanks to it, psyllium husk effectively works on constipation, diarrhea, and aids the elimination process,
- helps in weight reduction (reduces hunger),
- regulates and improves intestinal function,
- regular consumption may lower blood sugar levels as well as bad cholesterol (LDL),
- it is safe for pregnant women and during breastfeeding (however, as with all new products, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before use).
NOTE! People with conditions like intestinal obstruction or abdominal pain (unknown exact cause of pain) should not consume psyllium husk.
On the other hand… Inulin is a polysaccharide with health-promoting properties:
- it is mainly extracted from chicory, artichoke, or Jerusalem artichoke,
- it is not digested in the digestive tract and thus acts as fiber,
- it is a prebiotic, meaning it serves as food for the gut microbiota (which is incredibly important),
- it reduces the occurrence of constipation and also facilitates and regulates bowel movements,
- many sources indicate that inulin is safe during pregnancy (however, as with all new products, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before use).
The combination of these two ingredients creates a mixture that supports intestinal function and accelerates metabolism.
I call the mixture of psyllium husk and inulin binulin.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of psyllium husk seeds
- ½ tablespoon of inulin
- 250 ml of cold water
Preparation Method
1. Every morning, put psyllium husk and inulin in a glass and pour cold water over it. Stir and set aside. By the end of the day, the mixture will have a loose jelly-like consistency.
2. Drink it all at night before bed (do not eat anything else).
Why is it best to drink the mixture at night?
During sleep, no stimuli disrupt the process of nourishing and cleansing the intestines. The intestines have at least 6-7 hours to regenerate. This, in turn, improves the process of forming stool. It may sound funny, but I always say: your stool is significant and shows the state of your body.
After just a few days, you will notice a significant difference in bowel movements, thereby improving your well-being and inner strength.
Happy intestines, that’s it! Take care of them, and they will take care of you!
